Play groups in Dayton OH area?

Any Moms in the Dayton OH area know of any play groups or anything where Mom's and babies get together? I need some adult conversation! lol

Re: Play groups in Dayton OH area?

  • I know there is a South Dayton moms group. Two of my friends belong to it and have liked it a lot. I believe it is aimed more toward stay-at-home moms. I know it's on the internet but they also have a Facebook group you can join. The term "South Dayton" seems fairly nebulous as my two friends who belonged were from Kettering and Monroe. Not sure if there is a north Dayton moms group at all.

A handful of us are from all around Dayton and have done a few get-togethers and playdates. We did a couple at a local park, one at someone's house, and went to a get-together in Cincinnati also. I will post if we have any coming up!

Definitely. We just moved from the Kettering/Oakwood area (off Shroyer) to Springboro. There are a lot of stay-at-home moms in Oakwood, too, and they hang out at the parks when it's nice out-- mainly Orchardly Park. A lot of them also do morning library time with Mrs. Rose on Tuesday at 9:30 at Wright Library and that is a nice group of moms, too!

  • I belong to this group:

It is pretty good.  There is a yearly fee which covers the cost of the website and the holiday parties through the year.  I have meet most my friends through it.  I mainly do the meetsup that are in the Ketterin and Miamisburg areas and other close places to me.  There are a lot of meetups that go on to pick and choose from.

  • I would recommend The Family Network www.daytonfamilynetwork.com which is located in the Dayton area and has activities for all ages.

This is a non-profit organization which benefits families, kids, and the community/
