Day Care Centers???

I'm starting to look into day care centers and am actually feeling like I'm having a hard time getting a good mix of ones to visit.

I live in the central St Louis County area and have Webster Child Center, Clayton Child Center, Elaine Rosi and Kindercare on my list - what other recommendations do you guys have in the area?

ESPECIALLY if they come highly recommended but affordable, the ones I've visited cost more than we were expecting. We don't really have any friends/family with kids in daycare in the area so don't have a good referral system to count on.

    You may want to try the U City Children's Center and the Brentwood YMCA Minier Center too. You will soon find that almost all of the centers located centrally are on the expensive side. The Clayton Child Center is the most expensive one I have seen for newborns. They get more affordable as baby gets older.

    Thanks for the rec's! UCity was really expensive too I thought, but I did enjoy my visit at the YMCA in Brentwood.

    Now it's just down to decision time! : )
