Pregnant after IF

OK so now let's play ...

What has been your least favorite thing(s) about being pregnant ?

No disclaimers needed as to the gratefulness of actually being pregnant, we are all grateful, but it doesn't mean we don't get uncomfortable !

For me it has to be the peeing situation lately. Sometimes I feel like I have to pee so bad and then when I go all I get is a trickle. WTF? Othertimes I'm like nah I don't have to go so bad and when I do it's a river!

Our bodies are strange and amazing things LOL

What about you ??? Next!

  • Mine is also pee related - it's annoying having to pee 2-3 times in th middle of the night and I know it's just going to get worse!

  • Well I am not that far along and haven't had too much to complain about but what's driving me crazy are actually the vivid dreams and sleep deprivation.  I am so freaking tired but I keep having crazy dreams and nightmares that wake me up throughout the night.  I'm about done with those, fo sho.

  • I really dislike the peeing overnight. With my first pg, I also had awful, constant heartburn (knock on wood it hasn't been nearly as bad this time around...). I remember when Anna was born nearly crying with joy that I was done with those two things!

perhaps a little flameworthy...but giving up wine has been much harder this time around, too. I really love a glass after a hard day once DD is in bed. Sigh.

  • I have 2 "worst" things... one is having to sleep on my side.  My sides are so sore and I am never truely comfortable for more than like 5 minutes.  I can't wait to be a stomach sleeper again!:)

The other is: Pubic Symphysis Diastasis- aka my pubic bone hurts all.the.time.  It gets worse any time I do something strenuous (as in walk a few blocks to another building I work in) but it pretty much hurts constantly.  Annnnnnnd its likely only going to get worse... annnnnnnnnd theres nothing they can do about it:P

  • -My allergies have been out.of.control and I have been sick almost the entire time. I have had 3 sinus infections, bronchitis 2 times & an ear infection. There was a time when I was seeing my PCP more often than my OB.

    - Snissing & peeing when coughing. Even though Poise pads have become my friend, it's still a really gross feeling to pee yourself and know you can't control it.

    - Middle of the night Charlie Horses. It seems I get them at least 3 times a week.

    - Although some people think they look beautiful while pregnant, I feel more ugly. I know my stomach is big b/c of the baby but I still can't shake the "fat feeling".

  • I agree with you about the peeing, Melicakes! I really dislike the BH contractions that plague me and got me put on bed rest for 2+ months. Theyre happening even more now and I just want to yell "either be a real contraction or leave me the h*ll alone!!!"

  • I've been super lucky and blessed to have a fairly easy pg to this point, but if I had to pick one thing, its the peeing.  I have a 90 minute commute each way, and even if I pee right before I leave the office, I'm bursting and running for the bathroom as soon as I get in the door.  DH now has a routine where he opens all the doors and makes sure to clear the path so I don't trip!

I have no idea how I'm going to manage in another month or so!

  • I have had a super easy pg so I really have nothing to complain about... the only thing that is starting to suck is the random spurts of heartburn. I am starting to think I get it when I am hungry but I'm hoping it doesn't get worse. At this point I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop and get bombarded with terrible pg symptoms to make up for the easy pg so far... here's hoping it doesn't!

  • Lack of sleep - I'm a really light sleeper anyway, and between constantly getting up to pee, difficulty getting comfortable, not enough room in the bed for all the pillows (I NEED a king size!), and the hot weather, I am just so exhausted.

Hopefully my snoogle arrives today so I am hoping that will make a difference. I can't help thinking this is nature's cruel joke - I know once the baby arrives, sleep will be scarce, so please just let me get some good rest now!!!

  • So far it's been peeing at night, hunger, weight gain this early and exhaustion.  I have to get up and eat sometimes at night because I get so hungry I can't fall back to sleep without eating something.  I'm looking forward to the 2nd tri and hope that I feel a little more normal.

  • Knock on wood, it's been pretty easy so far. But, I hate sleeping on the side, I am not 100%. I have really weird and vivid dreams (the latest one being that DH was posessed, and so were my ultrasound pictures!). Oh, and can't forget the allergies, although I've resisted without meds so far.

  • Ditto on the peeing, especially when it feels like my bladder is going to explode yet only a few trinkles come out.

The aches and pains I'm starting to feel. My back has been sore for some time now, the leg cramps and my feet that are slightly swollen.  Its also starting to get uncomfortable to do normal things - getting in and out of bed, bending over to pick something up, walking around for more than 30 mins.

  • Add me as another peeing...

I've had a mostly easy pregnancy so far (knock on wood), but exhaustion is getting the best of me these days.  A small trip for errands and I feel like Ive run a marathon.

  • Headaches.
  • Sciatica pain! It is driving me crazy and making me cranky because it hurts so bad.

Also, I miss having a drink once in awhile. I'm not a big drinker but sometimes I'd like a drink at the end of a long day or to go to happy hour with DH and let loose a bit.

  • Gas, I have been so gassy since the 2ww.  At least it is not stinky like it was, nothing like being nauseous with stinky gas. Ick!  I don't mind the getting up to pee in the middle of the night so much, it is that I can't fall back asleep once I have gone. Sad  Especially since my boobs are in the way of getting comfortable.
