Baby shower....will I make it alive?!

My aunt is throwing me an outdoor shower tomorrow.  I have been so anxious about the weather since it is now August and I haven't been dealing well with the heat.  The temperature tomorrow is supposed to be a high of 83 degrees, with a high heat index and 100% humidity.  Do you think I will make it?!?!

    For me personally compared to what the weather has been (in the high 90's-100's) 83 sounds like a dream come true. Of course the humidity makes it a tad bit harder but just keep sucking down fluids and make sure you have a nice seat in the shade. :) O AND what's great about being prego during the summer is that people understand when you need to duck out of the heat to rest for a few minutes!!

    I think you will be okay, the temp here is 100+ with 100% humidity.  Our kind of weather would not be okay, but honestly yours sounds delightful right now :)  Enjoy your special day!

    Seriously? 

    It's been in the high 90's/low 100's (with heat index of 110-115) here for weeks.  I go on walks almost every day.  I'm sure you'll be fine.  It won't be in the low 80's here until at least mid-September.

    It was in the 90's with humidity at my baby shower. I had umbrella's on the tables and a couple fans. My seat was at the table that was in the most shade. and had a fan right next to it. The only time I was in the sun and had no fan was when I was opening gifts. I opened so fast because I was so HOT!  Have lots of cold water on hand and step inside when needed. I'm sure you will be fine. Enjoy your shower!!!

    83 doesn't sound bad, but 100% humidity sounds miserable. i'd be sitting in the A/C!

    83 degrees sounds so nice! The sign in the parking lot says 96 right now and it's not even noon yet... :-(  But the humidity sounds terrible!  You will probably be uncomfortalbe, but wear light clothes, stay in the shade, and drink lots of water!  I would mix some gatoraide and water together to make sure you don't throw off your electrolites from sweating.  Have a fun shower!

    So here's what I say. Its all about what you have been used to. Is 83 degrees ultra hot for this summer for you (if it is I will give you the jealous smirk). 

    If this has been the average temp or lower for this summer than you should be fine if this is extremely hot or extremely humid then you might want to have a plan in place to deal with the heat. I always liked those hand held fans.

    I live in CO and I can deal with 95+ temps but I cannot deal with humidity over 30%. So listen to your body and remember nobody is going to give the pregnant lady the side eye if she needs to go sit in an air conditioned car for a little while.

    Sorry couldn't resist. We have been a little better than that, but not much, and I feel like I am gonna die every time I step outside!
