Help me plan food quantities for a birthday party!

This is the only board I'm on so can you ladies help???  We have 50 adults and about 40 kids attending our twins Pink Flamingo/Tiki Party Blowout (DH came up with the theme and has planned everything). How much food would you get?

We are serving appetizers (big cheese & Meat tray, artichoke dip, and Chile Con Queso). Many of my friends are volunteering to bring other appetizers, fresh fruit trays, and fresh veggie trays. Also many are bringing sides like chips, potato salad, and baked beans. (I have kind friends who just wanted to help).

The entrees are: Hotdogs, Hamburgers, and for really picky kids a sandwich bar (peanut butter, Nutella, fresh honey, and homemade jam). So of this stuff how much should I get?

  • 56 cheeseburgers

    80 hotdogs

That would have enough for kids to have 1 hot dog or cheeseburger on average and adults having 2. They usually come in 8s right?

In terms of PB&J, I would get one of those large containers of PB and a large jelly. 1 or 2 loafs would be plenty.

That sounds about right to me too. Not every adult will have two but that is how I would figure it. And about twice as many hotdogs as hamburgers.
