XP from BF: cutting out dairy

ok so who has had to cut out dairy, and if you saw results with LO how soon did you see them? it was suggested by my pedi yesterday that I try cutting out dairy but I swear it seems like everything I have in my house has some form of dairy in it Stick out tongue I don't mind doing it though if it will help DD, but how soon would I know whether or not it's working? I have to log off right away so I won't be able to respond, but I appreciate any advice/help!

Re: XP from BF: cutting out dairy

  • A week ago I cut out dairy and we had a negtive stool yeteday for blood. I have only cut out major dairy products however- I am not at this point looking for items with things such as whey and caesin.

  • I started Monday. I haven't had any dairy including items made with dairy. DS is so much better already! Not 100% yet, but working on it. Our pedi said give it a couple weeks. Good luck!

  • Its been three weeks today and hes almost done a 360 from when I first cut out dairy. He hasnt had a bloody stool in almost a week, hardly any gas anymore, no fussing while nursing and hardly any fusiness at all anymore. They say wait three weeks or more to notice the full change, but I noticed a significant change around a week. Good luck its really not as bad as it would seem. Oreos can be your sweet and tofuti ice cream sandwiches are pretty good. Also Daiya cheese is actually pretty good and I have noticed alot of French loafs in my grocery store dont have any dairy in them.
