My dad is out of town until Sunday so my mom and her pup came to stay with us. It is SO nice having her around. She helps me get stuff done and A just adores her! Plus, it is awesome to have a playmate for the dog. I'm so thankful she likes us enough to want to stay with us (even when she lives locally!)

I am thankful that all this heat has cut down on the mosquitoes - they were out of control.

I am thankful that my husband will eat my hockey puck pork chops without complaint. He just slathers on more steak sauce.

I am thankful that freecycle exists. I have picked up some awesome things lately.

I am thankful for yet another beautiful day. I don't work tonight so C and I will be heading to the zoo! I am also thankful that C loves animals so much and loves to learn about them.

I am thankful that it is finally a little cooler outside so far today. I know the low to mid 80's aren't as hot to others, but it feels like 100 to me!

I am also thankful that I get to go to Seattle next week, even if it's just for about 5 days. I miss my mom and dad and brothers and my mom and best friend graciously offered to throw me a baby shower while I'm there and I could care less about the gifts, I'm just excited to see my friends!

I am thankful for family. Life has been hectic around our house, but without our family we would not get through it. I am also thankful for the beautiful warm summer days that we have been having and my sweet DH and DS.

I am thankful for a supportive husband. I have been extra moody/snappy at him the last 2 days with what is going on at the moment but he hasn't let my bitchiness get to him!
