funeral attire for 21 month old?

My grandma has been in hospice for a while, and it all ended tonight. And my dad was with her- I told my husband that I feel like my parents were really lucky- both of them were in the room with their mothers when their mothers passed. What a terrific way to get to say goodbye.

So my brother, L and I are flying back to WI on Friday, funeral next week sometime. I don't mean to sound callous, but I'm packing tonight and wondering on what L should wear. I have a black/white print dress that I think will be fine for me. But for him? At easter he wore khakis with a white button down and a brown pinstriped vest. Is that ok? Or should I run out for a suit or shirt/tie/slacks set tomorrow?

So sorry for your loss! I lost my grandmothers within a month of each other last summer. I took DD to both funerals (she was about 2 at the time), and she just wore a dress. It wasn't black or anything, it just wasn't super bright or flashy. I think just about anything you put a kid in will be fine.

Ditto on the Easter outfit. When my mom passed I think I had my boys in nice shirts (or whatever I could get them to cooperate & put on) and pants. So, so sorry for your loss.
