We installed Lila's convertable car seat in my car since she really doesn't fit in the infant seat anymore. We put it on the passenger side since we will need to install the the infant seat on the drivers side in a month or so. It has to go on the drivers side or else I would have to leave the baby in the garage while I back out of the driveway so that I would have enough room to open the door wide enough to get it in, obviously not happening, plus we would have the same problem if the infant seat was on that side.
The problem is, with the seat installed rear facing it leaves a huge blind spot because I can't see out of that back window at all. I have had a couple of close calls in the past couple of weeks. I really don't know what to do. I could turn it forward facing and it would be fine but I don't know that this is a good option. I don't want to hit someone because I can't see them either though. Any ideas?
Re: I have a stupid car seat question too
This is probably stupid, but I only have a blind spot if I'm just using the rear view mirrors. This problem is eliminated if I turn my head to look out the back windows.
If that doesn't work, I would just turn her.

This.
Right, I can't see out the window when I turn to look out it at all because the car seat is blocking the window entirely. The windows in the back are fairly small and start pretty high so the car seat entirely blocks it from my angle.
This.
ooh. Then yeah, I'd turn her. Those windows ARE tiny.
