What kind of night light does your LO use?

I think I will have to get one with a cord that I can stick behind LO's dresser, because he likes to unplug things.

  • DS's sound machine has a light projector that shines on the ceiling. That's all we use for his night light.

  • DS doesn't have a night light, he sleeps in the dark. Poor deprived child Wink

  • We just have one that plugs into the wall from Babies R Us. It was cute and it was on clearance!
  • When we moved into the house, there were TV mounts on the wall in every bedroom.  They also wired at outlet at ceiling height in every room.  So, he's just got a plug in one.

In our old house, DS1 was the same way unplugging things.  I found a light that is shaped like a rocket ship and uses a night-light bulb at The Christmas Tree Shop.  He still uses it in his room.

When I was a kid, I had a strawberry shortcake lamp on my nightstand.  It was a regular sized lamp, but the base had a nightlight built into it.  You could have a the full light on or just the nightlight.

Another option is to put a dimmer switch on the main light in his room.  We've used this option for DS1 when his night-light bulb blows.

  • I used to use the CUTEST little frog nightlight - until DS learned to pull things out of the outlet and broke it.  We've since re-arranged his room, so now we use a cheapie one that's behind his changing table.  He can't get at it and it produces light, I've stopped caring if it's cute or not.

None here either. I'm sure she'll let me know when she actually develops a fear of the dark. Until then.
