Nick & Vanessa's Wedding

Who watched??? I have to admit that I always thought they were an odd couple and that he was really meant to be with Jessica, but after watching the special, I really like Vanessa. She seems so down to earth and real. She actually reminds me of a cross between two dear friends of mine so I suppose that helps. Melissa, surely you watched? What'd you think?

    I didn't catch it. What station is/was it on? Maybe I can see a re-run. I don't really care much about them as a couple, but I still love watching wedding related shows. Must drive Vance nuts, haha!

    It's on TLC.  I'm sure they'll replay it.  Actually, I caught a replay.  Yeah, I thought they were a weird couple and I still don't really see the same connection that he had with Jessica.  Although, he always seemed so annoyed with her!  Haha.

    I had it on DVR and watched half of it last night after DH went to bed Stick out tongue. She does seem down to earth and Nick seems like a good guy. I admit I  followed Nick & Jessica's The Newlyweds show Stick out tongue. I like Nick & Jessica together however it seems like Nick & Vanessa connect more on the intellectual level. Jessica seems more materialistic and immature compared to Vanessa. I'll watch the next half tonight Stick out tongue.

    TOTALLY.  She's obviously a smart girl.  Not that Jessica isn't.  But she sure didn't act like it if she is!

    I haven't seen it! I'd better DVR. I'm kind of surprised that they're televising the wedding. I think I read that they don't plan to air their entire marriage on TV, but you'd think they'd want to stay far away from that since this is a new relationship and fresh start and all. I'm really curious to watch, though!

    I went to high school with Jessica.  Or rather, we went to the same high school - I didn't actually know her, b/c I was a nerd and in all honors/AP classes and she well, was not.  Based on the impression I got the one day she sat in my English class to do some make-up work, and some of the stories I heard floating around school, I really wonder how much of the ditziness was an act and how much of it is just who she is!  Even then, she took "being blonde" to a whole new level.  She was always purported to be super nice though.

    Someone posted most of it on YouTube (except I think it's missing the ending with the actual nuptials) and I ended up watching it last night. I didn't realize how long it was to watch! It's kinda funny because Nick mentioned on the show that he would never do a reality TV thing like Newlyweds with Vanessa because it's not the best thing for a marriage but I was thinking...then why are you televising your wedding?!? Maybe it helped pay for it since Necker Island supposedly rents out for $50k a day? Anyway, I do agree though that Vanessa seemed like a nice girl and pretty down to earth and intellectually sound, but like pps mentioned, I'm sure Jessica's ditziness is largely an act.

    Oops haha, I guess the thing is I don't know much about Jessica other than her infamous chicken/tuna comment and I just feel like for her to say that and agree to have it televised must've been an act.

    Still haven't seen it yet, but when I was roomies with Vanessa one summer, we were in a pre-college engineering program. So I guess this is pretty opposite of Jessica's high school experience! Vanessa was also super nice and a natural goofball... definitely had the right personality to end up in Hollywood!
