So I have weekly NST's now and an ultrasound to check fluid levels (Just due to Factor V and being considered high risk). Today the baby didn't really move during my NST. In the past heartrate during more restful times has been 120's. Today it was upper 130's with no movement. She checked my fluid which looked great and while on the u/s tried to wake the baby up and was able to see 4 movements and then said everything looks good. I feel the baby move alllll the time. I would say this baby is pretty active. I think it was just bad timing.
Anyway... we talk some more about other stuff and then she tells me she wants me to come in again on Monday and not wait until next Thurs appt. I asked her if something was wrong...she says there is nothing that she saw that is wrong she just has a 'feeling.' So instead of one more appt before my scheduled c/s she wanted me to come in Mon/Fri/Mon and then Thurs c/s as planned.
This just seems like a lot and crazy to me if there is nothing specific wrong. and it would really mess up my work schedule and I only have limited time left before being gone 12wks... so she agreed to keep appt as is and just to call her if anything changes.
But it has me worrying...and questioning if I should just listen to her even though she admits it's only a 'hunch.'
wwyd?
Re: Weird 37wk appt...what would you do?
Has your baby been active since the appt?
I'm a strong believer of better be safe than sorry and I'd probably go ahead with the extra appointment rather than worrying unnecessarily. She does that for a living and I'd probably trust her judgment.
I agree with PP. Not baby related but a year ago I was having weird pains in my chest. I went to the ER. At first they thought I just pulled something and dismissed my pain. Then Dr. had a hunch, did a CT and it was a clot in my lung. I believe in Safer than sorry too. Good luck.
thanks everyone... my husband feels the same and I guess I will make it work somehow and go in for one extra appt at this point and take it from there.
Yes baby was actice the whole ride home yesterday and has been this morning again as well.
