NBR: places to eat in Monterey

I'd like to go to Monterey for my birthday in Sept. I've never been the aquarium and really want to take DD. Any rec's for places to eat dinner? It doesn't need to be within walking distance but that'd be nice. Also... I don't like sea food. :)

  • There is a pretty decent Japanese place a few blocks from the aquarium, The Glass Fish. Most of the places around that area are seafood (I'm not a fan either, with the exception of sushi).

  • If you are looking for a BIG beer selection, friendly staff, and a just casual fun experience DH and I love Cannery Row Brewery.  EJ loved their grilled cheese (though they have a large kids menu and everything looked tasty, even the PB&J w/ crust off).
