New glucose test guidelines...

Did anyone know about this? I was at my OB today and she gave me the slip for my glucose test to do right before next visit at 28 weeks...anywhoo, she said they are changing the guidelines this fall, so she's just switching over now, this is what she told me:

the old guidelines = you do the 1 hour, if you fail, you do the 3 hour, you have to fail 2 of the 3 draws to be diagnosed with GD

the new guidelines = you do a 2 hour test, and that's it...if you fail any of the draws (fasting, 1 hour, or

    I was just at the ob today and scheduled the glucose test in 4 weeks. They're doing the 1 hour/3 hours testing method.

    My OB already switched. At 28 weeks I'll do the 2 hour test. Not looking forward to it!
