Her feet got a rash/burn from Crocs

My daughter woke up crying the other night, saying her feet were owie.

I looked and her foot has a red rash on it - like a pin dot rash..It's in the shape of a shoe around her foot.

We had just bought her a pair of croc brand ballet flats so we figured she is allergic to them or they gave her a chemical burn?? Sure enough the shoe fits perfectly with the outline of the rash.

It's been a few days and although she is not complaining the rash is still there. Today I also found that her feet are cracked...on the bottom of her feet, below her big toe in a crease of her skin on both feet there is a crack like the skin is dry.

What can I do for her until we can see a doctor? ointment/healing cream/lotion recs???

  • Extra Virgin Coconut Oil...we swear by that stuff in our house...It's a natural antibiotic, and moisturizer. Works great on burns, so I'm guessing it would work well on that...? Good luck, hope she feels better!

  • That is strange. is she usually really sensitive to material? LO has crocs and never had anything like that. I would call the company.

  • DD has really sensitive skin and can't wear her crocs for very long without breaking out.  Although she has never had cracked skin from it, more just eczema and goes away with some cortisone.  I would call the company as well....it sounds like your LO has/had a litlte more than just a skin sensitivity to the material.
