**MrsLee22**

Quick question since our babies are so close in GA and you just "graduated" also:

What do you do with them all day? I am so worried that I am not going to do the right things to help her developmentally. When she is awake I talk to her and sing to her while she is on her tummy. And she naps on her tummy, all the things PT told me to do. But what else?!? The 0-3 month board isn't as much help for me :/

And if anyone else has anything to tell me, please do! TIA

  • It sounds like you're doing awesome! You have to remember that they're newborns (even though they're not NEW born lol) - they should be sleeping up to 18 hours a day.

Our day goes something like this:
-Dad takes 6am bottle and then puts the babies in bed with me when he leaves for work
-Me and babies doze for a couple more hours
-Wake up around 8, turn on some music, sing and talk to the babies while I feed them their 9:00 bottle
-Put Grayson back in the bassinet while I take Audrey to change and get dressed. Audrey goes in the swing/bouncey seat while I do the same with Grayson. Then I have to move oxygen and monitors lol, this whole thing takes me about 30-45 minutes, it's ridiculous.
-Babies nap in swing/bouncey seat while I shower and get dressed
-12 to 3 is our "breasfeeding block" right now, so I sit the babies up in their Boppies on the floor and sit with them and nurse and snuggle. I get nothing done during this time except nursing.
-At 3 they get another bottle and then we do tummy time/play mat time. I have toys that jiggle and make noise and I'll play with them with those for a little while. Usually they fall asleep on their bellies and nap for another hour or so.
-We do baths at 5:30 then lotion and jammies, then Chris feeds them their 6:00 bottle while I cook dinner. The babies go back into the swing/bouncey seat for "wind down" time after their bottles and this is when we eat our own dinner.
-At 9, we take the babies back to the bedroom, swaddle them and give them a bottle, read a story, snuggle some and put them in their bassinet. Usually they go down for the night then!

Add in some overnight feedings and lather/rinse/repeat Smile

That got super long and probably pretty boring lol, sorry. That's pretty much exactly what we do every day though. I'm doing the SAHM thing this year so it helps for me to have a good routine. Once our quarintine is over and we can get out some that will probably change, but for now it works for us.

    Hope that helps some!

  • Hmmm... Ok that really isn't too different from what we are doing also, only with one LOL Thanks for the reassurance
