Update to Prayers needed, please

Just got back from visiting at the hospital- there is NOTHING sadder than a little one hooked up to a vent. So sad.

She has pneumonia in one lung, and they are expecting it to spread to both before it gets better. She was not without oxygen long enough to have any neurological involvement, so big deep breath there. She is sedated, obviously, but is such a fighter that she still tries to fight off the docs whenever they try to do anything. She has an infection in her throat, which may be part of why she choked/aspirated in the first place, so they are keeping her on the vent until that clears up. She had a fever last night but that has already cleared up on the antibiotics. They are talking about everything as "when she gets better" not "if," so it's still scary but all good news!

Thanks so much for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers.

Y'all move too fast so it's a few pages back now. Smile It's still on the first page on 3-6. It's my best friend's little girl, who is just three weeks younger than my DD. Thanks for the prayers!

  • Oh no! I hope she gets better very quickly and am glad to see that there will not be any neurological damage. Still praying for her.
