XP from 0-3 mo - C-section question

I'm 5wks pp and yesterday I noticed a little redish/pink discharge on the top of my underwear that rubs on my incision.  I checked out my incision and its a little pink and tender in one small spot where it looks like the discharge came from.  I haven't had anymore discharge since then and now the spot on my incision is scabbed over.  The spot is a bit tender but other than that I feel perfectly fine.   Has this happened to anyone else?  TIA!

  • I had the same thing happen. I wore looser clothes for a day or two till it healed and it hasn't been an issue since.  I'm now 6.5 months out and my incision looks great.

  • It's probably just irritated but i would call just in case.  My doc told me to call if it oozed any.

  • I had the same thing happen, it was just one spot that wasn't healing right/oozing. I didn't call my OB because it wasn't super tender or red. I just made sure my waistband didn't hit it and that I really dried it well after a shower. I was OK after that and now it looks great.

  • I'm sure they will make you come in if you call, so unliess its been going on for a few day or its truly painful, I would just keep it dry so it can air out and make sure it goes away.

  • Thanks for sharing ladies :)  I ended up calling and they said just to watch it and if it oozes anymore to call them tomorrow.  Hasn't done anything since yesterday so hopefully I'm in the clear, I don't feel like going in for an appt lol!

  • I don't know if you tried this or not, but I put a maxi pad across the band in my underwear because I just couldn't stand the thought of it rubbing on my incision!
