Big Boy!!

I had another ultrasound today (I'm having them every four weeks to check on LO's kidneys) and at 27 weeks our little guy is 2 lb 12 oz. Now I know this is not an exact measurement but its gotta be pretty close and that to me sounds HUGE!! My husband was a 10lb baby, now his mother gained 60 lbs and thus far I'm only at 15 so how is my little man so big so soon???

    Did they tell you what percentile that is? I had a us measurement on Monday (30 weeks) and came in at 3 lbs 12 oz and was told that was just under 50th percentile. I'm up 21lbs so far in the pregnancy.

    I had an u/s at 26 weeks and he was 2 lbs 3 ounces, so I dont think your little guy is measuring TOO big.

    The doctor said he's in the 85th percentile, and should be around 7 1/2 to 8 pounds full term. That sounds fine to me; I'm just not sure how he'll maintain that weight the last trimester when now's the time they really start packing on the pounds. My husband says maybe we should change his name from Porter to Porker Stick out tongue

    I just had my 28th week ultrasound on Wednesday and our little guy was 3lbs 14oz.  Dr. said that he is in the 88th percentile.  I was shocked but what shocked me more is that I am measuring at 37 weeks!
