In first tri all I heard people talk about was being in maternity pants early just because of the bloat and then staying in them in second tri as they started to show. I thought I would be in them by now since I was about 15 lbs overweight when I got pregnant.
I bought a bella band recently but don't use it all the time, I am showing where people are commenting as well. I'm wondering if because I was heavier my normal pants are somehow better equipped to last me longer? Haha, I know this all sounds silly. I've even gained 12 lbs so far.
So I don't feel weird, anyone else not in maternity pants yet? Or when did you make the switch over to maternity clothing?
Re: Anyone else not in maternity pants yet?
I can still squeeze into my low rise jeans but I find maternity pants so much more comfy.
Consider yourself lucky if you haven't had to get any maternity pants they are kind of pricey. I went shopping for maternity capri's and didn't find any worth spending the money on, especially if I probably only have another month to wear them before I switch to long pants.

I can still wear most of my jeans since they fit below the waist, but I'm using maternity for dress pants.
BTW: Maternity jeans are the best.thing.ever.

I am kind of in between. I am carrying high, and short-waisted, so I always wore low rise pants to begin with. They sit below the bump. The only trouble is, they are uncomfortable when I sit, so I have to unbutton. I have some maternity pants and I do prefer them hands-down.
I still can wear all of my regular jeans/pants, but I have to wear the beband or use the hair band trick. they are a little more snug in the hips and butt as well.
I bought a pair of maternity jeans but haven't worn them yet, but I do have a pair of maternity capris that I wear all the time.
Just be patient I'll bet you will "pop" one day all of a sudden.
I was doing okay with the Bella Band until a couple weeks ago - then the pants started creeping down because my hips have "widened" so I can't pull them up as far. But man do I love maternity pants. I started a new job with a totally different dress code last week, so it forced my shopping hand.
I have heard of women using the Bella Band with maternity pants to hold them up if they're still a little too big. Might be worth a try.

I feel like I have a decent sized bump but I can still wear the few pairs of pants I have that are low rise. After having DS#1 I gave up on low rise pants since they just looked terrible but I have a few pairs left that I can definitely still fit in they just arent as flattering as the maternity pants are so I only wear maternity.
I wear a lot of my non-maternity dresses and regular shirts are just now starting to look a little short and not as flattering so I am mostly in maternity for that too. I started out a little fluffy (size 16) so I fully embrace the bump because if I didn't I would definitely look fat (IMO). Maternity definitely makes me look more pregnant vs the whole is she or isnt she? and is WAY more comfortable especially since I am chasing my 17 month old around.
My Bella Band/BeBand works for all my old pants. I can still wear most of my old skirts without any assistance. I did buy one pair of maternity pants, but it tends to fall down and then I have to use the BeBand to keep it up.
