Anyone live near Lincolnton, NC? Dr recs needed!

We are in the process of moving to NC from IL and are buying a house near Lincolnton (Vale).  Does anyone have any doctor recommendations for the area? I am thinking of delivering at CMC-Lincolnton. I am hoping to find a midwife or Family Dr (who delivers babies), but will also take OB and Pediatrician recommendations!

    I don't live in Lincolnton/Vale any longer but I lived there most of my life (until age 25).  When I was planning before I had moved, I was going to use Ashley Women's Center in Gastonia.  I would never deliver at Lincoln Medical Center...my mom worked there as a nurse for many years and had some very strong dislikes for the OB doctors there.

     Ashley Women's Center has two Midwives also in the practice.  I hope this helps!

    I don't have any recs, but I work in Huntersville at an ENT office and we see many patients from Lincoln, Hickory, Denver because there are not that many in the area

    I sometimes work in the ER at Lincolnton. Some of the crappy OB's have left, but so has my favorite, too. There's a new OB there, Dr Tollefson who has been great so far. She really cares about her patients and is very receptive whenever she's called by the ER. I've had good interactions with her in the ER.  Dr Mofrad is a great pediatrician in Lincolnton. I'd let him care for my LO any day!

    (I use Huntersville OB, they do have an office in Denver, which is on the other side of Lincolnton, but that may be further for you).

    Thanks for your honest opinions ladies! I really want to stick with a close hospital because we have a lot of animals and with my first son, the hospital was an hour away and it was very difficult for my husband to be with us and care for the animals.  I will look into all your recommendations and will check back in case anyone else responds!

    Just thought of this..but any of you know any Doula's in the area that work with CMC-Lincolnton (if I stick with that hospital)? I haven't had any luck finding one! TIA
