C-section mamas, come in

Can you feel your belly yet?  Mine is still super numb.  OB told me that it would take at least 6 months, and up to a year.  But it's weird.  I do dishes, and my shirt will be soaked around my belly but I didn't know because I can't feel it.

  • Yes, I feel mine. It was numb for this first couple months (both times), but never longer than that.

  • Numbness only lasted for the first few months for me, but i have heard of it lasting longer from family members

  • Same for me, still numb. Dr said nerve endings were cut and it can take a long time to grow back and may never feel the same.

  • Both times, it's numb below, and tender above, but very slowly over time it tends to fade.  I think by the time my son was about 17 months old, it felt mostly normal, but still sensitive to cold.

  • Both of my c-section scars are still numb but only the newest one is tender. In fact my appendix scar from 16 years ago is still numb too.

  • I must be in the minority then.  I didn't have any numbness at all.  Every now and then I feel a little twinge around the scar, but nothing too bad.

  • I'm still numb right around the incision. My lower stomach is more sensitive than it used to be.

  • the numbness is pretty much gone. i do have some pain if my jeans are too low or too tight. what i really don't like is that i can't sleep comfortably on my stomach anymore because it makes my lower back really, really stiff. i don't know if it's directly from the c-section, but it only started happening after i had Luc.
  • It is a little numb. It almost feels like an itchy tingle, if that makes sense. It is only across the incision line. My ob saw my in June for my normal pap time, and she said this is pretty normal. She also had a c-section back in November for the triplets she had. She said she was going through the same things herself.

  • Not numb, but Holy Biscuits it hurts if I hit it/lean over something. Our kitchen counter is the exact height as my incision. I've leaned over to get something and had stabbing, cuss worthy pain.

  • I can feel it but an inch around my scar it is still super sensitive and I don't like it being touched or bumped in anyway.

  • Mine is still numb. If I poke at it i get a weird tingling feeling. This was my second section though. After my first I had feeling after about 6 months.
