I'm trying to decide it we should get one or not. We haven't had cable in over 4 years and we just stream Netflix to our computer in our family room (using a LCD tv as a monitor).

We have one (and just ordered a second for our room) and love it! So much so that we just canceled cable. We bought a monthly subscription to Hulu Plus and just use that now. We have the tv on a lot less now, we can stream Pandora, watch Netflix, etc.

I'm glad you asked this. We have a blu-ray and use that for netflix and Hulu Plus, but have been considering getting a Roku for upstairs, so I'm interested in the feedback.

I have one! I got it because my cousin raved about hers, but my tv only has one of the DVD cable attachment thingies (and my DVD player is already connected), and I have HDMI cables already in use, so I never use the thing. I just use my computer. I hooked it up and literally never used it once, so I was thinking of getting rid of it, actually. I got it for $65 ish, but I'd be willing to give it up for $40 if anyone wants it. I have the info that came with it and everything.
