Sticking tongue out and making strange faces?

Silvie has started sticking her tongue out A LOT in the past week even when she eats and making weird faces with her mouth. Like sticking her bottom lip out and blowing out her cheeks and other things I've never seen her do before. Is this just a developmental thing and are your babies doing it too? Its a little strange to watch.

    Your new ticker just made me smile- how are you feeling?

    Lena has been making funny faces too- especially this weird cockeyed crooked smile thing that my MIL says is a teething thing. She started sticking her tongue out on Saturday and I'm uncertain if her tongue will ever go back in her mouth!

    Kya has been sticking her tongue out a lot too.  It's crazy how they change so fast.  I feel like she does at least one new thing every day!

    The tongue thing just started a week ago, and it is almost non stop! She has also really got the blowing raspberries thing down too, so she sits around blowing them about as loud as possible. The spit level around her has been out of control. What's funny, is that if we do it back to her she looks at us like we are crazy.

    BMP- thanks! Its crazy, but I am starting to lose the anxiety and get excited about the new baby. We've got my first doc appt. today and I am kind of nervous that when I go in they're all going to be like "Didn't we just see you?"

    And thanks so much ladies! I'm so relieved to know my Silvie isn't the only one who's tongue is permanently hanging out of her mouth! She does do it back when we stick our tongues out at her though, and she thinks its hysterical. And the drool factor is RIDICULOUS. I thought it was bad when she started teething, but this is crazy!

    Hahah yes- Fletchie has been doing this for the past few weeks.  I'm always like "please put your tongue away!".  It's hysterical- my guess is they're just discovering/exploring :)

    James' tongue is ALWAYS out. He just sticks the tip out ..I have a feeling he is touching his new teeth. Kind of like when your tooth hurts or you have a spot in your mouth you can't stop touching? I feel like it is natural! DD did it too, I have a ton of pictures of her at this age of her tongue out.
