2 Month Check Up

Zachary had his 2 month check up and boy did he grow, lol. 

Birth weight 8 lbs 9 oz 21 inches

Today's weight 13 lbs 11 oz and 24 inches = 90% for height and 83% for weight. This kid might be tall, so they say. DH is 5/9" and my brothers all tower over 6 foot.

Bad part, he had 3 shots and the drink (rotavirus, which he liked). He was all smiles until she stuck him once, two and three, just about one after the other and thankfully quickly. Poor guy is napping and fussy. He wants to be near me all day (so far) which is fine. Oh his penis (from circ) was stuck (skin wise and I didn't know) it goes back further (cause no one showed us, ugh) and so he had his prick picked at  and its red and healing nicely.

    Big boy!  Yay for a good checkup, and I hope he gets over all those stabbies and jabbies fast!

    Big boy!  Hope he feels better from the shots quickly.  My LO did fine with the shots until 5 month - those were brutal.

    It's always reassuring to see they are growing like they should be.  Sounds like a typical 2 mo checkup--still heartbreaking for Mom to see them suffer but they quickly bounce back.  I think the penis adhesion thing is pretty common--we had to use vaseline and pull it back every day for a while.

    Thanks ladies. Yeah I had no clue about really pulling it back so far, but now we do it twice a day (MDs suggestion) and aquaphor is on hand. He doesn't seem to mind and that makes a mama feel relieved. He's pretty fussy, and the bath helped him. He's snuggling on me now. Shots never affected DD, until she was 2, LOL. She didnt' get a bad fever and wasn't hardly fussy but one day. Hopefully Zachary is like big sister. He's a different baby though.

    Great stats! Yes, for J. we had to pull the skin back every day during his bath and it still didn't work out. So when he was about a year old we had to take him to see a urologist for a "procedure". What she did was she pulled it back real hard and charged us about $500 for it.
