I'm in northwest Fort Worth and dear God its been HOT! All I want is some rain and a few days under 100 degrees.

You're not too far from me! I live in Texarkana (about 3.5 hrs away).. used to live in DFW, went to TCU for a little while. We got about 4 drops of rain yesterday.. the cloudiness cooled it off to about 104.. this is brutal!!

South of Houston here wish we would have gotten the hurricane like the original path projected (my lawn looks horrible)! It's only 92 here right now which isn't that bad considering the 100+ heat last week

I'm in Austin and I think it's supposed to be 104 all week! And the lack of rain is getting pretty old right about now. I would love for a downpour.

I'm in the Austin area just trying not to sweat too much. I was really hoping we would have got some rain from Tropical Storm Don, but oh well. Here's hoping that we get some rain soon.

Also popping in as a misplaced Texan. I live outside Seattle, so our weather isn't nearly as hot as yours! I was in Dallas for a weekend in July and the 100 degrees was killing me!

I used to live outside of Forth Worth in North Richland Hills. Miss those days.

Wow there are a lot of Austin girls! I'm in the Austin area too although my siggy says San Antonio, I can't figure out how to change that.

It is ridiculous hot, I just checked it is 104! Ugh!

Hey there

I'm a Texan, born and raised! I live in the Clear Lake area exactly in the middle between Houston and Galveston. And, YES myself, my family, and especially my dogs are about to die of heat stroke! I went to the bank a little bit ago and the temp gauge on my truck said 101.

I'm up North. I live in Pflugerville but work in NW Austin near 183 and Oak Knoll. I saw your post about your eye surgery. I hope you heal up 100% soon. I'm on-call for work until August 15th, which is equivalent to being grounded, ugh. But after that it would be fun to get together for happy hour or something (maybe at the Domain or Downtown.) Any other Austin girls, let me know.

I feel your pain. I've been at home since last wednesday (with the exception of dr's appts) in the complete dark w sunglasses on. I feel grounded too
