Visiting...again! Newborn Sleeping Question

Hello All! I am still only 26 weeks along, but I am just in the process of registering and I am not sure if I should register for a bassinet or one of those arm's reach co-sleeper bassinets. Any feedback? I know you new mothers are very busy and have all of your own questions on this board so thank you in advance to anybody taking the time to provide feedback. Congratulations!

    We got a Graco PNP that had a bassinet sleeper in it. We kept that in our room one night before moving LO to his nursery, still in that bassinet thingy, because all the little noises they make kept us up ALL night, mostly because we were worried about what every little sound he made was. Moving him to his own room made it so we could actually get some sleep in between his hollers for food. So, personally, I recommend anything that makes transition to a crib easier (we had 0 issues transitioning him to his crib since the bassinet is almost flat and we didn't hook up the vibrator thingy on it until after we moved him to his crib) AND anything that helps you get sleep during the night. Not trying to knock people who co-sleep but it just wasn't for us. We like to keep the marital bed marital, so to speak.

    Do you plan to BF?  A co-sleeper bassinet could be really useful if so.  I did BF, but ended up bringing DD from her bassinet (not a co-sleeper) to our bed a lot early on to nurse her, where she'd sleep the rest of the night.

    i wasn't a fan of co-sleeping and bought a bassinet... doesn't matter. DD only likes to be held by me when falling asleep. so now i co-sllep with her. sometimes you can't prepare for what your LO will react best to.

    We are using a bassinet that we keep in our bedroom.

    I found out that having him in it its really a little silly though, because we still need to go in his room to change him, so we are using the bassinet because we have it already, but I would never pay for it myself.

    I got the Fisher Price Rock and Play sleeper and it is amazing!!!  It was highly recommended on all the websites and I am so impressed.  I had a PnP with my ds and hated it, so I definitely recommend trying the Rock and Play Sleeper.

    We are using the Rock-N-Play sleeper.  It has been wonderful having our son so close for those night feedings.  However, it is inclined and has made it hard for DS to like his crib since it is flat.  We had to put a pillow under the mattress of the crib to get him to sleep in it.  But, if LO has reflux or spitting up problems the incline is great.  Just my opinion.  Good Luck!

    We're Rock N Play users as well. DD hates her crib and pnp but will happily sleep for hours in the RNP

    I have the arm's reach mini co-sleeper bassinet, but use it as a stand alone bassinet and I really like it.  I also like that the sides have ventilation and he sleeps very well in it.

    we did a pNp because it can be used longer for when she gets bigger.
