Ashton...Yay or Nay?

So i will find out the sex of the baby a week from today. For some reason I feel like I am having a boy so I have been trying to think of male names that I like. I like Ashton but i'm not sure because of the actor. What do you ladies think?

I think that's a name that won't hold up will with his age. Can't imagine a 50 year old man with the name Ashton.

I prefer Asher. Ashton seems very unisex these days, I've known two girls named Ashten and Ashtyn.

The only reason why I don't like Ashton is because I have a 5-yr-old sister who LOVES Pokemon, so I automatically think of the character Ash from the show. And I kinda like it better as a girls' name.

I LOVE the name Ashton. I keep thinking I am having a boy too. That is the name my husband and I chose. I think the name is timeless. It will never be too old or too young. I love it!

Thanks for the replies ladies. As far as being unisex that doesn't bother me since two other names that I really like are Riley and Jayden, which are also unisex.

I think the girls are going to totally take this name over in no time flat. It would be like naming your little boy Taylor. Yes, it is and can be a boy name, but the girls have taken it over.
