Two people I work with use this woman, she uses Montessori principles and they both loved her. Her reviews online were good too. I haven't contacted her yet, not sure if we're going to need daycare yet.
I just went back to work and my daughter (only six weeks old) is at Adventures in Learning, on 3rd Street just south of Indian School. They were more affordable than most daycare centers without being completely ghetto or dirty, like the others in my price range I looked at. I pay $160/week for my daughter in their infant program.
The director Donna has owned & operated the daycare for 40 years, one of the infant teachers has worked there for 12 years, and another for 3 years. I used to work at a daycare and a turnover rate that low was practically unheard of.
The infant teachers who I met are really friendly and they are knowledgeable & easygoing when it comes to things like storing breastmilk, etc.
I work downtown and live in the Coronado Historic District, so the location was ideal. I have yet to see what this place is like long-term but no problems that I can tell of so far (granted it's only been 3 days!)
