New 1st Time Mom Moving to DC

Hello everyone!

My husband just recently accepted a position in DC and we will be moving to the District in the beginning of October. I just wanted to see if there was any Mom groups out there I could get in touch with. I will be a SAHM for awhile while out there and would love to meet some of you in the area!

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Congratulations and welcome to the area. I know a lot of the neighborhoods have active moms clubs and listservs. Capitol Hill moms may be the biggest one, it certainly the most mentioned. You can also try meetup.com or searching yahoo or google groups to see if there are others in the locales you are looking at.

Welcome! I'm not in any mom's groups but I know that they are out there. I mainly hang out on this board for most of my mommy advice. Anyway, welcome to the area and feel free to ask any questions here. It's a great group of women.

If you happen to move to Arlington, there's a large group you can join called MONA moms. https://www.monamoms.org/ - I'm not a member, but have only heard great things.
