nearly always. My stomach is hard as a rock and about 3 inches too large as well. It's so odd my husband spent 5 minutes or so questioning the midwife about it!
This is so not TMI ... alot of us have been there, me included! When I'm laying on my couch at night I'll have my hands on my belly and I can feel the gas bubbles rolling around in there (sometimes they make their way out...much to DHs dismay!) So your not alone!
I had a bad encounter with beans in my taco salad. After that I have taken it easy on the beans because I don't ever want to feel that kind of intense gas pain again (the normal stuff is bad enough) haha.
I have the that constant pain. Some days are worse then others, but still have it all day! I think I would rather be nauseous then have those really bad gas pains.
You're not alone... and the sounds coming out of my stomach sound like a stopped up kitchen sink - bubbling and gurgling and such. And they come from all over my abdomen. It's freaky.
My mornings used to consist of coffee, drive to work, hit the bathroom. Now, I am happy if I have a BM every 3 days. Right now I am on the longest stretch of 4 with very little relief. Gas is a plenty though...
OB suggested stool softeners for a few days to fix this nightmare, and then fiber sure, as much water as I can stand, and lots of fruit and veggies (which I do anyway so that is scary).
So far today I have had 2 apples, veggies and chicken for lunch, and almonds as a snack. So far still just a gassy mess. So not looking forward to my drive home, locked up with my bowels in a car for 40 minutes!
Heck yes, I have been insanely gassy and it's so uncomfortable. My stomach gets all big and it's hard to do anything when I feel like that. I've tried gently massaging my abdomen in a downward position, especially on my sides and it seems to help it move out a little. Hope you feel better!
