PCOS and Clomid - loosing hope

Hello all,

Not sure if this is where i should ask this.  I have now had 2 failed Clomid cycles - in which I didn't ovulate.  I am wondering if anyone had a CD21 progesterone that was negative (0.9), and still gotten a BFP?  Could I have not ovulated yet?

THanks

  • I just wanted to say good luck, I know where you are. I didn't have any luck with clomid but a lot of ladies have!

good luck! and maybe ask for metformin the next round if this one fails.

  • i think if you have not ovulated yet, then you probably won't this cycle- it may be that you need a higher dose of clomid, or that clomid just isn't the answer for you. i had no luck with clomid, either.

also, you should be monitored during your cycle to see whether a follicle/follicles are developing, which will give you a better chance of knowing if and when you have ovulated.

    good luck!

  • Did they increase your dose from the 1st cycle?  When Clomid first got me to o I would still o late...had to keep increasing it to get me to o and on 'schedule'

    good luck!

  • I didn't o on clomid or femara, but I did on femara and follistim (injectable) and got pregnant with my girls. :)
  • I conceived my oldest daughter with 150mg of Clomid + trigger + TI.  However, I did not respond when trying to conceive my younger daughter, so we moved on to injectibles.  Good luck to you!

  • I have PCOS, too, and my RE didn't think I'd respond to Clomid. We gave it one try (at 150mg) and I didn't O, so we moved right to injectibles. This is my second injects baby. GL!

  • Not sure what your diagnosis is, but lots of folks don't respond to clomid...especially women with PCOS.

Maybe ask your Dr. about femara??  I had lots of luck with it.

    good luck!
