Candy Buffet - how much?

For a shower favor, with about 40 people, how many different types of candy? Any suggestions welcome. And how much of each candy?

    I would go with at least 6 different kinds.  Base how much you will need based on the size of the container you are providing.  If each container will hold a lb, then you will need 40 lbs total.

    Well if you go to Party City theres many choices you can have with a Candy Buffet

    I got married in September and we had a candy buffet, I just tried to overbuy and then anything extra we handed out at halloween.  So I would say do a little more than you'd think you'll actually need, because it's better to have too much than not enough.
