Lila, my sweet baby who is all smiles and giggles, has now turned into a drooling, screaming, hell will freeze over before she sleeps baby and I can't help but wonder if this is the start of teething. I felt around her mouth and I couldn't feel or see any teeth cutting through but she seems fixated on her mouth now. She either wants her paci or she will be chewing/sucking on her thumb.
I don't really know what to do to help her, I've given her some tylenol, the oragel says not to use until shes 4 months and the teething toys I bought are to big for her to hold in her mouth. And, if this isn't teething, then what is it?!
Re: Teething already? Possible or not?
Yep, could definitely be the start of teething. My daughter started constantly chewing on her hands at 3 months and got her first 2 teeth at 4 months.
You could freeze a washcloth for her to chew on. I wouldn't use Orajel, there have been warnings about it having bad side effects.
Violet has been doing this for a few weeks now. She's not content unless she has something in her mouth, but she doesn't suck so much as "gum" on it. She's also quite the little drool monster.
Baby Orajel has had some recalls recently due to serious side effects; I wouldn't use it.
