help! nighttime leaking

Argh! J has been leaking at night a LOT lately. It used to be maybe once every few weeks, but now it seems like it's every few days. We are doing a LOT of laundry. We CD and he's triple stuffed, so I'm not sure I can add anything else in there. I was worried at first that this was related to our detergent-in-the-dryer incident but the diapers are SOAKED when he gets up, so they're definitely absorbing.

He gets a sippy before bed - should we move that closer to dinner time? Any other suggestions? He's not really into potty training so trying to get him to go before bed isn't really working. I'm mostly frustrated that this seems to be happening out of nowhere . . .

    are you tucking it in?

    does he sleep on his tummy? not much you can do but I know DS wakes up soaked if he sleeps on his tummy. What I am planning to do is use a larger size diaper (we don't CD) at night. Can you put a disposable over the CD?

    You might want to post this on the CD board. They are like nightime diaper MacGyvers over there, with all kinds of ideas on wool and covers and various stuffing material. 

    C is in triple stuffed BGs at night and leaks occasionally, but usually only when he's wearing two piece jammies and the waistband gets tucked in to the diaper as he wiggles at night. But he often uses the potty right before bed and I think that does help a smidge.

    I can't really offer firsthand experience because we don't use ours overnight for that very reason...but I was recently emailing with Stephanie from Abbys Lane trying to figure out our leak issues and did a bunch of research.

    Where is he leaking? Could be the dipe is overstuffed and the legs get gaps. I have had hemp inserts or wool covers recommended to me by ladies on the CD board. Also I've been told that microfiber (like the BG inserts) are prone to compression leaks, so if it is saturated and being pressed on, it's liable to leak.

    Try the CD board - they are really helpful.
