Manipulation

Ok I know they say that a baby can't manipulate or cries only when needing something but my LO waits now till you are looking, holds her arms out and screams bloody murder until you pay attention to her to pick her up. Isn't she a little young for this.... I need another 1 1/2 years before those terrible 2's set in.

She also will wait till you pick her up, then look at you, bend over and cry, look up and stick out her bottom lip.... I am in so much trouble!!!!! lol (I can't help but laugh at her when she does it too... its so freaking cute)

    My LO totally tries to manipulate to get picked up. He knows that if he smiles he gets attention so as soon as you go close to him he tries smiling to get picked up. He has also started putting up his arms, and cries if he doesn't get his way.

    About 3 days ago my DD started doing this awful scream cry when she wants to be held.  She is usually a very mellow baby so these little fits have been throwing me for a loop!

    I think mine has been the queen of the fake cry and making noises for attention now for about a month. She can be really dramatic. I have learned that her only true cries are for hunger, pain, and if she gets scared.

    Lol I am so glad I am not the only one feeling like this! K is very good at crying until I look his way and then he smiles and giggles. If this doesn't get him picked up within a couple minutes he starts really throwing a fit, like he is yelling at me. I swear if this kid could talk he would be cussing me out!

    Lucas does this, especially while I'm pumping. I just give him lots of attention like talking to him and smiling. Or I tell him he's fine and that I'll get to him when I'm done. Now if he's all out crying I'll put him on the floor or in his exersaucer so I can finish pumping.
