Anyone have a light period when first pregnant?

I have my first dr.'s appointment on Friday to see how far along I am. I expected my period last Tuesday July 26, and missed it. Low and behold, positive pregnancy test.

But my last period prior to missing it was not normal. It was lighter and shorter so I may be further along. I never had a lighter period with DS, so why would it be different now? Anyone else have this happen? I am going to be going crazy until Friday...

And sorry but I don't know any of the bump abbreviations. Is there a little cheat sheet somewhere?

No-I had some very light brownish spotting for about 5 days right after I got my BFP. But definitely not AF-like.

yes for my 2nd Daughter...I had weird spotting for a few days tested and got a positive test. 2 days later when my period was due I had red bleeding..enough for a pad, not a heavy flow though. But I thought I was m/c. I thought I did..until it stopped the next day. I normally have like 7 day periods so I thought that was weird. Lo and behold I was still pregnant and now have a 9 month old.

it was most likely implantation bleeding...I did not have it with my first but I did have it this time. Congrats!

Oh thank goodness. I'm having this right now and it's freaking me out! I hope it's nothing!

I am still on the fence about it because my usual period is 5 days, needing overnight pads most of the week. The last one I had was 3 days with regular pads.

Thanks for everyone's response, I don't feel like such an oddball anymore.

yes, for my second pregnancy. My last real period was April 30 then my I had a light period June 9 - then had a BFP on June 14. When I went to the dr, I ended up being only 4 weeks pregnant rather than the 8 weeks that I calculated based on April 30 - I am pregnant and all is well but don't be upset if you are not as far along as you thought. I was super disappointed but since we know we are both healthy now I am ok. Good luck!

I didn't, but my BF did. She actually had THREE. Needless to say, she didn't realize she was pregnant because of it and was shocked when at her first appointment she was 14 weeks along. I was insanely jealous...
