Hi ladies! I just took over doing our check in for Mantle, so please let me know if there are any corrections or updates that I am missing! Thanks in advance for your patience as I learn the ropes here. Mantle made it look so easy, and I'm hoping I will catch on quickly!

New to the board!
We just found out we are team PINK and we couldn't be happier. Due Dec 8, birthing at a hospital, still doing research on method.
My QOTW answer and reason for joining are essentially the same thing. I have always been in Camp "GiveMeTheDrugs" until I actually got pregnant. I've been doing just the most basic of research on my options and decided that natural is the way for me. Time and time again I read about the benefits of a natural birth and the issues that are so common with medicated or assisted births. I know I can do this, and I'm so happy that DH is completely on board with me.
If anyone asks I tell them that I used to think I would want the drugs right away, but now I feel so much more empowered after deciding to go without them. If they have anything negative to say I just shrug and walk away.
QOTW: I'm a wuss I usually end up copping out of an explanation because I'm sick of hearing people tell me that I'll get the drugs, I'll never be able to do it, blah blah blah. I just tell them that I'm going to try naturally but that I'm keeping an open mind (Totally not true. I am going to go natural unless interventions are necessary).
To my friends & family that won't tell me I can't do it, I say that I just try to remember that humans are the only species that medicate themselves for births and I really don't feel like I'll need it. I might WANT it for a short period of time, but I don't think I will NEED it. I'm really not nervous about it, and I think that's half the battle.

Huahine, 1/3/12, Location TBD (currently hospital with a midwife, but going to check out the local Birthing Center and interviewing a HB midwife), HypnoBirthing Classes and reading the Bradley Method book, and team blue (just found out today!).
I always assumed I would get an epi and any other medical intervention that the doctors offered. And then I got pregnant. And started doing some research. And now I'm not even sure I want to deliver at a hospital. I'm still doing research and not yet broadcasting my decision to go natural (except to you guys
).

I am due November 19th with a little girl. We are planning a VBAC at a hospital and are using the Bradley Method.
