Help with middle name for Lucy

So we've decided on Lucy for a girl, but we cannot agree on a middle name :)

I like:

Corinne

Adele

Rose...maybe

DH likes:

Grace

Lynn

Faith

We really don't have any family names that would work, so we're just basing off what sounds nice. He isn't a fan of my choices, and I feel like his are somewhat cliche? Lucy is a name I've wanted forever, and he easily agreed, so I hate to be a stickler too much about the m/n. Our last name starts with an H and is 2 syllables ending in s.

    I like longer mn's with Lucy. Out of your choices, I would pick Corinne.

    Other ones I like:

    Lucy Katherine (Lucy Kate)

    Lucy Evangeline

    Lucy Isobel (Lucy Belle)

    We were considering Lucy Caroline.  I felt like not only did it sound nice, it gave some formality to the playful Lucy. 

    I know you said you don't really have any family names, but I strongly prefer family middle names.  It's hard to just suggest something random for the middle name, when it could have special meaning to you.

    I know what you mean about the family name thing. For our boy choice we have Charlie Mark, which is completely family. Charlie comes from my DH's grandpa, and Mark was my dad's name. I don't love the flow, but the meaning is fantastic.

    Here are some family names for Lucy. Maybe it's just me who thinks they sound awful:

    Dorothy

    Gretel

    Gertrude

    Jacqueline

    Gigi

    Berta

    Janice

    Linda - my mom and she hates her name sooo...def not an option :)

    You may be on to something. The problem I've had with it, is everyone in our family calls her "Jack". In my irrational mind I keep thinking of that and it's throwing me off.

    My name is Jacklyn, (named after my dad Jackie Ray) and my family always called me by Jacklyn. Hardly anyone ever shortened my name to 'Jack' or 'Jackie' unless it was my close friends from HS. They would usually ask me too =) I think being a mn you wouldn't have to worry about it momma ! HTH!

    Honestly, I would give a little on the middle name option if you're getting your first choice as the first name. Love Lucy, by the way! I don't like Lynn, but I think any of the others from either list would sound nice.

    Lucy Lynn keeps making me think "Lucy Liu" in my head...that's the only one I would nix straight out.

    Personally I think since he agreed to your name you should compromise on one of his, but I don't really love either Grace or Faith with Lucy. Would he go for Lucy Marie?

    Totally agree with Lucy Lynn. I think it sounds like a country singer, which is not what I'm going for.

    Marie may be an option. Sometimes I feel like that along with Lynn, Nicole, etc, are names to choose when you can't think of anything else. However, it does flow well I guess.

    I only know of one Lucy & her middle name is Nicole

    Our DD is Lucy Elisabeth, and her MN is for a friend. Is there someone else, a role model or inspiring figure, you could choose a MN from? Fwiw, I really like Lucy Jacqueline.

    I feel like the suggestions your DH gave are filler mn's, especially Grace.

    I really like Lucy Elizabeth. If I had a Lucy it'd be Lucy Johanna (family name).

    My favorite combo is Lucy Eleanor, but DH doesn't like either name. Sigh. I love it!!! Your DH's mns are awfully cliche, so I wouldn't use either of those. I do like Lucy Adele!

    I'm with you...Lucy is our top name as well and I find this difficult.  ones that have popped up repeatedly in my head:

    Lucy Claire

    Lucy Nicole

    Lucy Christine

    I considered Lucy Belle yesterday but I thought instead of making it sound more formal it made Lucy sound more dog/stripper/cow. 

    I also thought of Lucy Emerson yesterday....not sure if anyone would like that.  I feel like Lucy is a tough name to come up with something solid.

    Lucy Kate is always popular on these boards as well as Lucy Jane.

    This is EXACTLY what I was about to post.  I love Lucy Eleanor, and Lucy Adele is my favourite from your list.

    I like Rose, Faith and Grace.  I don't like Lucy and Adele together- to me it sounds to much like Lucille.  I also don't like Lucy Lynn.

    Lucy is our top girls name too.  It's my mom's name and we think we'll use a family mn as well.  Lucy Adele is actually on our list as the only non family mn.
