Hi ladies. I normally post on GP on TN and IF so I hope you don't mind if I ask a question. I also posted this on PAIF seeking advice. DH and I did our first IVF this cycle. I found out the results of the blood work yesterday. Beta from Wednesday (8dp5dt) was 11 and yesterday (11dp5dt) was 41. The nurse at my RE's office said that they won't feel comfortable about the pregnancy until I go over 100. I go back tomorrow for another blood draw. I've been spotting since Thursday and sometimes it's light pink, sometimes it's dark brown and it comes and goes. I've also been cramping on and off.
My question is did anyone else have beta's as low as mine that increased and continued into a normal pregnancy? Any advice or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
Re: XP: Success after low betas?
Your nurse is right that it can go either way with numbers like those. I can think of two old nesties who had betas under 20 after IVF and ended up with healthy thriving pregnancies. It does happen, so keep your chin up. Your in my thoughts that the beta continues to double and rise.
This gives me some hope!
Thank you for responding, ladies. I appreciate it.

My RE kept trying to tell me not too get too excited, since they were so concerned about the beta numbers. My numbers also did not double like they were suppose to.
1st Beta: 65 (14dpo)
2nd Beta: 101 (16dpo)
3rd Beta: 383 (20dpo)
My little embryo was a fighter! Even after the last beta, before they did the first scan at 6 weeks they kept trying to comfort me and prepare me incase they couldn't find a heartbeat... sure enough there was a nice strong heartbeat on the monitor. I was thrilled, but still scared!!
Little Miss Sophia was born in April (11 weeks early), but doing amazingly well now!!
Stay positive!! Good luck and best wishes for your family!!
