anyone buy the Safety 1st Alpha Omega?

I can't decide what stinking covertible car seat I want to get.  I'm really liking these Safety 1st alpha omega ones.  Anyone have this seat??  Do you like it??  I'm debating between this and the Graco 65.  I'm just thinking the Safety 1st will be more comfy when he gets older.  idk

  • We have 2 for DD, and we love them. The only downside is that they don't recline. This wasn't a problem until she got a little older. But by then she was able to use a travel pillow or blanket to prop her head up. I really like that we won't have to buy a third carseat when she's able to start using a belt positioning booster. Her and Asher can use these seats until they are no longer legally required to be in a seat. I know we could have just bought some of those little booster seats when she got old enough, but I have heard enough horror stories to want to keep them both in the bigger seats for as long as possible. If you have any other questions about the seat about fit or size or whatever, just let me know!

this is what I really liked about it too.  I'm debating on this and the Graco myride 65.  But the Graco looks like reclines to much.  IDK maybe the picture is misleading.  hmmmm decisions decisions

  • I think we bought 3 (and returned 2), before we finally decided on the Alpha Omega. It looks so big, but it actually took up less space than the infant carrier and base did. We tried to keep DD rear facing as long as possible, but we ended up turning her forward around 15 months. There was definitely enough space in the seat to keep her rear facing. She just didn't like her back to us. So it was nice that she was able to be rear facing and still be in a seat that took up less space. I would be afraid that a seat the reclines too much would force who ever sits in the front seat to be squished.

  • We bought the Alpha Omega and it did not fit right in our car ( we have a pathfinder).  And it moved around alot even after we read the directions and watched like 3 videos on how to install it.  We returned it and got a Britax Roundabout 55.  It was on sale at diapers.com.  It is more expensive then the Alpha Omega but fits great and does not move at all and LO loves it.
