Welp, some lucky mama got Nala's Urban Zoo... and I'm jealous... ![]()
This wagon thing is for the birds. On the upside I got my 3 sbish fitteds and backup miracle blanket, ordered from spots, in the mail today from last weeks binge.
Annnnd DH starts law school next week so his schedule changes today, he gets off work in 25 mins! (instead of 8pm) If I can score this job I'm interviewing for Thursday I'll have "George Money" to spend on dipes again ![]()
Re: This wagon ride suuuuuuucks
Good luck on your interview!
I just love the name George. I was campaigning hard for ZB to be named George is she was a boy. It's my gpa's name.
thanks and thanks! MH has loved the name for a long time now and I wasn't committed to naming him anything in particular until I saw him and could really see what name fit. But with one glance I knew he was a George. He had this tiny, squishy old man face.
I end up clinging by the finger nails... I know the feeling. OP, Good Luck on your interview!
A Frog, A Monkey and a Ladybug
ahhh. that stinks. Sorry to hear that.
That stinks
nnooooo that's a bummer
I'm sorry
I'll live. Thanks everyone. School starts and subbing will start again. But, Good Luck on yours!
MrsDink- GL with your interview! And I love that photo of your son. George does fit him
One of top two girl names is Georgia.
Stellar- Sorry about your interview!
This wagon thing is hard, but I cannot fall off. I have delivery confirmation for 4 packages today. DH is usually gone around the time mail comes but he has been home alllll day working on a project. I am dying to go check the mail but don't want him to freak, lol.
ETA: Stellar- How do you like subbing? I have been considering signing up to do it this school year.
I love, love, love subbing. I actually prefer it over getting a full time job. Just need to sign up at more schools so it is more regular money. I would sub for life if I could. When I lived in a bigger city I was called at least 3 days a week which was 100 bucks a day. It was awesome. In the new small town I live in, I got called 6 times ALL SCHOOL YEAR! It sucked. I am going to sign up at more schools and perhaps even commute up to an hour for a few... money is money at this point.
I don't know anyone IRL who has subbed before. My only knowledge of it is what I remember of subs in high school and my SIL who is a full time high school teacher (what she says about subs). The only thing that worries me is disciplining the students/how they will act and I wouldn't know what to do. I look really young and would be afraid if I were given a high school class, they would try to walk all over me. Do I sound pathetic? Because I realize it is a pathetic worry.
Disciplining the students really depends on the teacher you are subbing for. From what I have found anyway. If the teacher is strict about how they are supposed to act for a sub then it goes smoothly. If the teacher is laid back and has no consequences for bad behavior it can be hell. Also, if you have a school where the principal will back you awesomely then it is good. I have only had one really bad experience where it was an Ag class and because the teacher was in fear of getting his classes cut because they are just electives he was SUPER laid back because if students kept taking his classes he kept his job. It was a long a$$ day.
I just looked up my school district's procedure online and I will go pick up an application tomorrow. The pay is only $70/day here. Boo. But that's better than $0/day. I would just like something to do outside the home a few days per week, and a little wiggle room in our budget.
I also hope our local school district has a casual dress like my hometown district :-/ It's been over a year since I worked in an office and I've since gained 10lbs... my fabulous work wardrobe has new homes now thanks to eBay.
