Diaper changing on a girl - question

When I wipe her down, I know I go from front to back. Today when looking closer at her girl parts I noticed there is some white stuff like on the sides of her labia area. It isn't discharge (not coming from her vagina), but more white sticky stuff. Am I supposed to wipe her parts extra good around the labira/clitoris every time I change her diaper, or is this stuff normal? I don't want her to get an infection, but I also don't know if it is supposed to be there or not..

    I do a good swipe during diaper changes.  During bath time, I slightly separate the area with my fingers, then wipe once with the washcloth.  I asked Lila's pedi about it, and she said it's normal, don't completely wash it away, but do lightly wipe the area to clean it.

    DD had a lot of that in the hospital. Maybe yours only had some, so you just noticed it? Totally normal and will go away. Just wipe it somewhat, but not like scrub it out.

    At the hospital the nurse said it was normal, but I am asking now because I am not sure if it was supposed to go away by now or not.

    DD had that at first too. I chalked it up to being stuff that she was around in utero. After a few baths and soaks she doesn't have it anymore.
