I'm throwing a "sprinkle" for a friend who is pregnant with her second girl.We talked about it a little bit and she mentioned that she has a TON of brand new clothes since DD #1 was born very premature and basically wore gowns and sleepers the first 6 months of her life due to all the wires etc.
Anyway....I was trying to think of some
wording for the invite to basically say "no clothes" in a super nice way
since it would really be a waste!I know some people hate being told
what to buy someone as a gift, but I'd really rather get someone
something useful rather than something that will just sit in the closet with tags on it and not get used.
So far I was thinking something like this:
"Big sister Peyton has plenty to share, from clothes in the closet to bows in her hair. So think diapers and wipes, lotions and creams, soft blankets for baby to dream her sweet dreams."
Any help making this sound better, advice or opinions on how to word this would be appreciated. ![]()
Re: (RP) Shower wording?
I think your wording is cute.
This is part of the reason my husband and I don't want to find out the gender- I don't want all pink clothes if we have a girl or all blue if we have a boy, and I would really appreciate more practical gifts like books or diapers. But people do love to buy baby clothes- they are so cute!- so the guests might bring some anyway.
I agree!!
