should i be concerned?

This past weekend, my SO & I had his 2 little cousins sleep over. While changing the one, she's 2 years old, I noticed she had 2 marks on her side - both scablike. I was concerned at first. But when I showed my SO, he said maybe they were bug bites or something that she picked at.
Then, when we took her home yesterday, I noticed her older brother had them on his upper chest. The same exact thing.

My SO's aunt didn't say anything to us, about them being sick or anything. But, she can be very "oh i forgot to tell you that" type of person.

Our DS will be going there this weekend (I'm in a wedding), and I just can't afford him to be sick right now - or catch this weird whatever it is, rash?

I'm trying not to think about it. But for some reason it keeps popping up in my head when I'm finalizing plans for this weekend....
Help.

Re: should i be concerned?

  • i would just ask the aunt- tell her you noticed these marks when changing the diaper and ask if she knows about them/what they're a result of.

  • Definitely ask. It's your child and you have a right to know what it is before you bring your child there.
