I know I'm not supposed to have sex for 6 weeks but I'm wondering...does that just mean intercourse, or are other things out of the question as well? I'm going to my OB tomorrow, and I'm SO not looking forward to asking this question!

    I am wondering the SAME thing! I actually researched it today online.  Your answer might be different than mine (assuming you had a vaginal birth).  I am seriously really curios about this.

    Just intercourse in either of those two areas right next to each other. Outside of that, you can do whatever you feel comfortable with.

    It is so funny that you ask this! My husband and I are desperate to have sex but know that we can't and he ask me last night if we can do other stuff-like if I can have an orgasm! I know that's way tmi but I'm curious too!

    I so asked my nurse this same question the day I was being discharged from the hospital. She looked at me kind of disgusted and said "um well you will have to ask your doctor, Iv never been asked that question". Ummm really?? My husband is sure she had never actually had an orgasm because she was way too uptight!! LOL

    My doc gave me the go ahead to have sex at 5 weeks. We have slowly and I mean SLOWLY trying each time and it usually will get better as we keep at it. Use TONS of lube at first and take it easy. It's almost like being a virgin again, ouch! We didn't do oral sex b/c I was still slightly bleeding also. I'm not sure what else you mean by "other" things, but it depends on your bleeding and how well you're healed I'd imagine.
