Whatever DS doesn't eat, I throw away. A box of Gerber oatmeal is $1.15 at the grocery store here... I'd rather waste the <$.05 than risk DS getting sick.
Hint... when DS was getting accustomed to the spoon I'd make small amounts of cereal at a time to avoid the possible waste. If he's still hungry you can make more in a few seconds. I would make a full bottle and add a little bit of formula to a teaspoon of cereal, then store the bottle in the fridge for DS to finish later. That way if he didn't eat everything, all I would waste was a few drops of formula and maybe half a teaspoon of cereal. Yeah right though... no waste here. Kid loves his food.
Re: XP Rice Cereal Q
I would think no more than 24 hours.
