I don't know of anyone in Louisville, but in the Louisville area (these ladies live around Ft. Knox) the best photographers I know are Brianna Schultz and Renee Rhodes. Renee did my wedding, and I just saw a maternity shoot she did that blew me away. Brianna has similar style, but she solely does photography where Renee has a primary job as well. Sometimes they work together, and both have sample shoots on facebook.

Amanda Graves does amazing children photography. She did the photos for a friend of mine's wedding and they were wonderful but her specialty is children. She is based out of Indiana but does lots of photos in Louisville too, good prices also. We've already booked a maternity session with her!
We've tried Portrait Innovations twice and both times regretted it. The whole place is run by teenagers. Maybe not the corporate part of it, but the store part. The people taking pictures are just that... non-professional people with a fancy camera. Don't even get me started on the over-booking.
That siad, it is a great place to go to get a big family shot if you need the print within an hour and if you are the first ones in line or get the first spot in reservations.

I'm sure they'll do a great job, Olan Mills is a good company
My wedding photographer was fabulous, and she also specializes in photographing children:
