Pampers swaddlers scent???

I have been using Pampers swaddlers since my DD was born and she just switched over to size 2. Since this, I am noticing an odor that is driving me crazy. It just smells kind of "chemical like" and gets much worse when she has a wet diaper. When holding her, it's the main thing I can smell. I didn't notice this with sizes NB and 1.

My DH doesn't notice it and I don't understand how because it is so potent to me. Am I the only one? Does anyone else notice this scent? I hate to be so dramatic about it and I have no idea why I'm having such a reaction to it but think I'm going to have to change brands, which sucks because they work great. Any recommendations on comparable brands? Or are many of them going to have this smell unless I go to the natural brands?

    I used Swaddlers for a couple weeks when LO was first born and then switched to Huggies and finally to Luvs. I could not stand the odor of the Swaddlers.... she constantly smelled like pee. She kept peeing and pooping out of the Huggies. We have finally settled on the Luvs and they are awesome! I dont love the papery feeling of them, but there is no odor and she doesnt leak out of them!

    I love Pampers Swaddlers.... we have had them since LO was born and had other brands people had gifted us, but Pampers worked the best. The only smell I notice reminds me of the hospital when he was born.... but it isn't offensive or overly 'chemical'.

    I was super faithful to Pampers since that is what our hospital had and sent us home with. All was well until we switched out of swaddlers and into size 1 dry max. The diapers started to smell like chemical every time she would pee and after a day in they she got a horrible diaper rash and blisters. We switched to huggies.

    Maybe try the "sensitive" version?  They don't have drymax, so if that's what's causing the smell it should be a fix.

    I switched to Huggies because I couldn't stand the chemical smell anymore. I didn't notice it with the newborn size, but once we moved to size 1 the smell was awful.

    The sensitive don't have the same issue.

    We love Pampers, to be honest. UpUp gave her a horrible diaper rash, and Huggies are dead to me (I seriously hate Huggies almost more than anything on the planet right now. I cannot explain the leakage and blow outs we had with them, even going up a size. Hate.)

    Yeah, Huggies leaked terribly bad when we tried them in the NB size. I won't bother with the other sizes. I'm going to get a couple of small packs of other diapers today and see what I like the best. I can't decide between Up & Up, Costco brand, or Earth's Best. Any experience with these? Issues with scent?

    I haven't noticed anything and we've been using the Swaddlers since birth as well. Just a thought, but perhaps it was just a bad bag/box?

    I'm noticing an odor in Size 3 sensitive swaddlers.  I thought I was imagining things.

    We use the Pampers Sensitive. There is a light scent to them, kind of like baby powder, but I don't find it strong at all.

    You can also check out Diapers.com- they have sample packs of diapers for .99.  Good luck!

    I think the Sensitive ones smell as well.

    We looooved the Swaddlers Sensitive until she moved up to Size 3. At that point, we couldn't stand the smell anymore. I've switched the Nature Babycare and love them too! I didn't like Huggies (the dye on the outside of the diaper rubbed off on LO's clothes). 7th Generation and Earth's Best are good too. HTH!!
