We just found out we're having a boy and will be needing a mohel for the bris.
Little background: I'm not Jewish, but we keep a Jewish household and are raising our children Jewish. We plan to have our children converted as well. Any recs? My husband prefers an MD.
Re: Any Jewish mamas in Atlanta?
Dr. Arthur Gumer did our bris for our first son. He was absolutely wonderful. He's an OB, I believe with North Atlanta Women's Specialists. I highly recommend him.
We used Dr. Daniel Goodman for our second son because Dr. Gumer wasn't available and he recommended him. Dr. Goodman was a fine second but I liked Dr. Gumer much more. Dr. Goodman is an MD as well but I don't recall where.
Best of luck and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
I'm hoping this works but here is a link to Mohels in Atlanta:

Of the names on the list:
Dr. Gumer and Dr. Goodman are my top two choices. My third choice would be Dr. Safra. I've heard good things about him as well although I've never met him. If you click on the links of each of the names, you should get their phone numbers.
Again, if you have any questions, my email is tracigator@bellsouth.net.
Perfect! Exactly what I needed. We'll be looking for a "home" synagogue in the area as well. Atlanta has such an inclusive and varied Jewish community, I'm sure it will be no problem finding a fit for our family.
Thanks again for the info!

Hi,
Our good friends used a mohelet - Dr. Lillian Shapiro. She is an OB/GYN at Peachtree Women's Specialist.
